WHO WE ARE

Whether gathered in small, white-frame churches next to century-old cemeteries or in new, soaring, glass-and-steel worship centers, we share a common confession centered in the Gospel--the Good News: " For God so loved the world that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life" (John 3:16). We along with 2.6 million others, are the people who form a church body called The Lutheran Church--Missouri Synod.

It is in the Congregation that Christ gathers His people around God's Holy Word--to hear it proclaimed, to study it, to proclaim it in worship. In the congregation, through the water and the Word of Holy Baptism, God claims each child--young or old--as His own, calling them by name and bringing them into HIs kingdom. In Holy Communion, Christ is truly and essentially present under the bread and wine, given to His people to eat and to drink, for the forgiveness of their sins, for life and for salvation.

Who We Are

OUR COMMUNION PRACTICE

We generally commune the first and third Sundays of the month.

In light of First Corinthians 11:28, they are welcome to the Lord's Table who: 1) believe in Christ Jesus as their Lord and Savior, 2) accept the real and physical presence of the body and blood of Christ in the Sacrament, 3) have examined themselves and acknowledge the sinfulness, 4) resolve with the help of the Holy Spirit to strengthen their faith, amend their ways, and walk in His ways, 6) understand that without doing the above one can eat and drink to his or her own damnation.

We also believe that one's receiving the Lord's Supper is an indication of agreement with all that is taught at this altar. Therefore, if you are not a member of this congregation, and have not communed here before, we would ask you to please speak to the pastor or an usher before communing.

Other Notes:

We offer Communion as individual cup.
